Cleansing of the body (Yogic Kriyas)
Internal cleansing, bringing a sense of lightness to the body will keep you out of intestinal gas. Some of the kriyas you can do in Yoga Therapy for gases in the stomach as below….
Kunjal kriya daily for a week.
Enema of warm water alternative days for a week
Daily Nauli, Agnisar Kriya 50-100 times
Short Shankh Prakshalana once in a month. Full Shankh Prakshalana in the month of February and October
Practising Bhujangasana, Shalbhasana, Dhanurasana, Shashankasana, Paschimottanasana, Shavasana, Vajrasana after meals.
Anulom Vilom, Kapalbhati, Nadishodhan pranayama, Bhramari according to your capacity for 15 minutes.
Vayu mudra or Apaan Mudra for 16—48 minutes.
Yog Nidra for 30 minutes.
Take only one meal a day, consisting of chapatti, boiled vegetables, salad before the meals and pineapple juice
After digested the first meal take the second meal. Eating snacks in between the meals prolongs the digestion activity.
Avoid Excessive quantities of legumes, beans, lentils and other sulphur containing food.
Take a cup of hot water half an hour before and after meals.
Fast on orange juice for a day.
Apply half teaspoon asafoetida with a few drops of water, around the navel as it pulls out the gas.
Place hot water bottle on the abdomen in case of pain.
Drink butter milk, curd and rice.
Avoid fatty foods as well as vegetables, carbohydrates. Eat light and sattvik foods.
Eat in relative silence. Avoid talking while you eat or watching the T.V.
Chew your food well.
Put wet towel around the waist and tummy.
Cut the 6 gram ginger into pieces. Mix little black salt. Eat it before meal for ten days.
Drink lime water with a pinch black salt and soda carbonate in it.
